Our founder and practice paediatrician Dr Isaura Ribeiro, had a vision, that vision became a reality the day Paeds in a Pod Wellness Center opened in 2018.  Having one central place for pediatrics mental and physical health is why parents from all over bring their children to our practice.

Dr Isaura Ribeiro

I myself have ADHD and it has become my superpower in many ways but there are days that it is a challenge and the struggle is very real and frustrating but being different doesn’t make me less, it makes me uniquely me. My approach is holistic, looking at your child as whole and focused on the individual child’s needs and requirements.  

Dr Isaura Ribeiro the founder and owner of Paeds in a Pod Wellness Center. She is also the practice paediatrician with a special interest in development, Autism and ADHD. 

Dr Sheethal Ramsunder

I am passionate about serving both general paediatric patients, and caring for our under-served community of ADHD and autistic children. As a neurodivergent person myself, I can empathise with the children I see on a deeper level. Our multidisciplinary practice can help both you and your child look forward to a brighter, more inclusive future.

Elsie is an autistic counselor who focuses on assisting kids, teens, and young adults from a neurodiversity-affirming perspective. Her sessions are practical and tailored to your interests and strengths, ensuring that you feel supported, learn practical and useful skills, and learn more to understand yourself better in a judgment-free (and fun!) setting.

 

Elsie is the owner and founder of A Happy Place Counselling Services. Her ambition is to help fellow neurodivergent individuals accept and celebrate our extraordinary brains and overcome challenges using our strengths and talents.

Georgina Egberink

With experience in neurodiverse and remedial educational settings, Georgina brings a nuanced understanding of the challenges children and parents may face. Georgina strives to create a warm, understanding environment where both children and their families feel supported, empowered, and encouraged to grow.

Her dedication ensures that every child and their family receive the individualised care they need to overcome obstacles, embrace their strengths, and move forward with confidence.

Aletia Breed

Since early in my career, I have had a passion to assist individuals with limited communication abilities, whether it was due to physical disabilities, developmental delays or acquired communication difficulties, to find their “voice.” 
 
During my journey with my own children and becoming a S2C practitioner, I realised that non-speaking or unrealiably speaking Autistics need to be seen for who they are on the inside, not be limited by what we hear them say or how they behave. I am therefore passionate about helping my clients and their families find a reliable method of communication to improve access to education, social engagement, and increase autonomy.

Lynette Potgieter

Practice Manager

Her processes and protocols are guided by her extensive experience as an Administrator and Director in the health sector with nursing, administration and education qualifications. She further has experience in Quality Assurance, Occupational Health & Safety and Financial Management and is tasked to put systems in place.

She is responsible for ensuring that your experience as our patrons is of high standards while creating a safe, relaxing and aesthetic environment.

Cecilia Machalatjie

Practice Assistant

She ensures that the practice is clean, orderly and that all necessary stock is replenished.

She is a very energetic person and caring soul who has great pride in ensuring that everyones visits to the practice is comfortable, pleasant, and safe.

Practice Receptionist

She will gladly provide any information on the services, assist you to book an appointment and ensure that all the necessary documentation is processed towards making your experience pleasant.

The frontline service is complimented by her friendly outgoing personality. She is a self-motivated individual who works well under pressure in the busy frontline environment.
